The third roll of back fat

The third roll of back fat? Yes, read on….

Making a decision to do something, especially for your Self, can be, strangely, the hardest thing- -why is that?

The list of excuses is endless, right? Allow me to share a few:

  1. IF I didn’t have a wife and family…
  2. IF I had enough pull…
  3. IF I had money…
  4. IF I had a good education…
  5. IF I could get a job…
  6. IF I had good health…
  7. IF I only had time…
  8. IF times were better…
  9. IF other people understood me…
  10. IF conditions around me were only different…
  11. IF I could only live my life over again…
  12. IF I did not fear what “they” would say…
  13. IF I had been given a chance…
  14. IF I now had a chance…
  15. IF other people didn’t “have it in for me”…
  16. IF other people didn’t “have it in for me”…
  17. IF nothing happens to stop me…
  18. IF I were only younger…
  19. IF I could only do what I want…
  20. IF I had been born rich…
  21. IF I could meet “the right people” …
  22. IF I had the talent that some people have…
  23. IF I dared assert myself…
  24. IF I only had embraced past opportunities…
  25. IF people didn’t get on my nerves…
  26. IF I didn’t have to keep house and look after the children…
  27. IF I could save some money…
  28. IF the boss only appreciated me…
  29. IF I only had somebody to help me…
  30. IF my family understood me…
  31. IF I could marry the right person…
  32. IF people weren’t so dumb…
  33. IF my family were not so extravagant…
  34. IF I were sure of myself…
  35. IF luck were not against e…
  36. IF I had not been born under the wrong star…
  37. IF it were not true that “what has to be will be”…
  38. IF I did not have to work so hard…
  39. IF I hadn’t lost my money…
  40. IF I lived in a different neighborhood…
  41. IF I didn’t have a “past ” …
  42. IF I only had a business of my own…
  43. IF other people would only listen to me…

Sick of listening to yourself yet?

RESET Challenge can change all that with your permission: RESET Challenge

And allow me to cut to the chase here with these ideas:

1.      Have you ever gone quiet enough to actually HEAR what you’re telling your Self?

a.       “I can’t believe I’m such a loser.”

b.       “God what an A** I am, I just ate that WHOLE thing, again.”

c.       “All I want to do is be able to go shopping with my friends and not in Lane Bryant where the sizes are for cows.”

d.       “One day I’ll be able to wear boots that fit over my giant-a** calves!

e.       “All this working out, eat right CRAP! It’s just easier to stay fat.”

2.      Followed by slinking back into the false “comfort” zone of doing what you’ve always done, the habits you’ve built, that keep you “safe” from change.

That’s a certain DISCIPLINE

We all have a discipline to what we believe serves us. It’s our truth. So, if your discipline drives you to Starbucks every morning for the frappuccino and lemon loaf, you’re disciplined to the “comfort” of that discipline, while it makes for the lovliest, squishiest, can’t-wait-to-do-it-again-tomorrow-and-continue-to-grow-the-biggest-belly, the 3rd roll of back fat and back-of-arm-flap-stick-out-my-arm-you-can-use-it-for-a-weathervane ever, discipline.

Repeat the discipline; you have what you have right now.

When you find a discipline to the betterment of your Self, things change, right? Look back to when you did lose the weight- -you felt AMAZING, yes? You got your quick fix, vacations were awesome and then…..the weight came back. What happened?

You learned a discipline for the quick fix. And then probably repeated it over a few times, correct? The quick fix is a “quick fix,” not long-term taking great care of your Self.

Identify your lack of discipline to your Self long-term and your list of excuses, and make a decision to change them.

You can jump start this here with the RESET Challenge: This jump start could be exactly what I need
