Bootcamps vs small group training and elementary school teachers – what p1sses me off

Bootcamps vs small group training and elementary school teachers – what p1sses me off

Straight to it we go:

BOOTCAMP

  • As many people that the facility can fit or outdoor location can handle
  • Barking orders
  • FUN!
  • Camaraderie
  • Not well-supervised
  • Potential for injury—HUGE

SMALL GROUP TRAINING

  • A select amount of people-no more than 10-15 at one time
  • Barking orders
  • FUN!
  • Camaraderie
  • VERY well-supervised
  • Ability to remember everyone’s name, families, personal life goals, strengths, weaknesses, dreams, desires-awesome.
  • Ability to correct poor form during exercise-excellent
  • Potential for injury—next-to-none.
  • Potential for creating strength & healing through training—OPTIMUM

Now, they can both be good for weight loss, and my biggest peeve, what pisses me off the most about bootcamps is this:

Little-to-no supervision.

AAAAAACCCKKK!!!!!!

AAAAAACCCKKK!!!!!!

I mean, I “get” that the business model of bootcamps is to pack em in for cheap, run the participants all over the country and make a million, (It really is), but DAYAM! Do the trainers not see all the knocking knees, deadlifts that’ll break your back, piss-poor-executed pushups and unstable landings when jumping?? AAACK!! People that really shouldn’t be doing the bootcamps (yet) but fine, we do not want to discourage anybody from participating, but how about being available and present for those clients to ensure proper movement so they don’t incur injury or exacerbate any current ones? Oh yeah, there’s only one trainer for the 50 people all over the place!

Miss thang above is surely to hurt her low back, elbows, shoulders and neck, and why.....WHY is the guy below humpin the ground??? REALLY?!?!

Ever wonder why your knees hurt or even know that they are knocking when you squat? (Above). The guy on the bottom left's back is going to break any minute, and the guy on the right--good LORD is he going for the biggest hunch-backed landing EVER? Tippy-toed landing is sure to send him sailing forward into the wall in front of him. That ought be fun to watch!! I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THIS IS ALLOWED BY THE TRAINERS!!

ANY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHERS IN THE HOUSE?? (You guys don’t piss me off, by the way). You guys know exactly what I am talking about don’t ya? 32 kids in one classroom for one teacher and if you’re lucky you have a part-time assistant? HOW CAN YOU ATTEND TO ALL THOSE KIDS, some who don’t learn as quickly, some who have zero discipline at home and their parents think they’re dropping them off to daycare instead of school, etc.? You can only do so much, right? It’s the same with training people in bootcamps, and training people well in small group training.

In my opinion, small group training does it less (less quantity of people) and does it better. Can you feel where I’m going here? My small group training, the MORNING CRUNCH.

In my MORNING CRUNCH you have options:

Ohhhh I just had to post this pic! What a gorgeous dead lift position! Long, strong back, shoulder blades a'squeezin and no hunch back, LOVE the leg muscles. Beautiful. (I couldn't find a pic of the Rock dead lifting, don't tell him I'm cheating on him, thank you)

  1. Commit for 6 days a week
  2. Commit for 2 days a week
  3. Drop in anytime

In my MORNING CRUNCH you will do different things—every time you come.

In my MORNING CRUNCH you will experience hands-on, supervised training where every exercise movement you make will be in the best possible position and alignment—purposely so you use every muscle possible, resulting in the most calories burned and then you—–lose the weight.

In my MORNING CRUNCH I can cater to every fitness level, every rehabbed hip, and every person short of sleep and their level of focus that day—because my groups are small.

In my MORNING CRUNCH there are options for everything meaning, if jumping with your new boob job is out of the question but you want to train, you’ll have an option. If your sinuses are acting up and you want to play anyway, you will be given options for that. If you are fearful of box jumps, you will be given an option. Are you just coming back from a long hiatus and your strength is gone but you are ready to come back? I have options for that! And every option will give you the most for your time and effort. (I don’t dumb down anything but rather, adjust for your  best challenge).

In my MORNING CRUNCH we have ages ranging from 23 to 74 and everything in between, boys and girls. There IS a place for you!

In my MORNING CRUNCH I will take better care of you than in any bootcamp. I am more-than-confident about this.

Whether you are choosing to come for socializing, to strengthen your bones, to lose weight or to strengthen your back through core conditioning, no matter what you are coming for, you’ll find it and then some.

The MORNING CRUNCH, small group training.

It’s about time,

Annette
