I have been overweight since I can remember, because health isn’t really a concern for my culture. As an American Indian diabetes is a common illness; its not “if” you get it, but when. I learned that this mindset had to change when I became pre-diabetic.
I’ve attempted about 10 x’s to lose weight and experienced some weight loss but always fell back into the same bad habits. I even trained with Annette 2 years ago and gained my entire weight back and then some for spite.
Last summer I had a life changing experience as I passed out at the wheel of my car and drove into two parked cars and a tree during the middle of the day. The doctor said that my neck was so large that oxygen could not reach my brain and I blacked out.
After I was able to get out of bed I called Annette and learned what I needed to change.
I am not on a diet but and a life style change. I wake up 5 days a week at 4:45am so that I can go train w/Annette and live a stronger healthier life. I work over 50 hours a week (60% of that I am in my car) and I am a full time college student. I found the time not to workout but to LIVE.
